Between 2020-2023, I collaborated with community organisation "Agapė Lietuva" to create ten meditative prayers.
A series of ten videos invites you to immerse yourself in the unusual form of the „Our Father“ prayer, spoken by the artist.
Each prayer is accompanied by a walk in one of Copenhagen's parks. They reveal a wide field of symbols, from the Garden of Gethsemane to the reflection of the Garden of Eden in man-made civilization. It is also a place beloved of the greatest thinkers, whose thoughts were often born during similar walks in the parks (the Danish philosopher and theologian Søren Kierkegaard being one of the most prominent examples). Parks are places of prayer and reflection; after all, they are near or even inside every major monastery, and they are the breath of busy and rushing cities. Signs of nature and the city, sculptures and graffiti-covered pruned trees, bridges, water, birds, dropped rubbish... Metaphors open up and the text of the prayer takes on space.
